I have used aluminum foil on a board successfully for this purpose many times. At those frequencies, the skin effect eliminates the need to have much thickness to get an effective ground plane.

The stuff at Home Depot and Lowes is actually a laminate of plastic between two thin aluminum layers so that is a last resort.

 

Does anyone know of a place around here that sells sheet aluminum or even scrap aluminum?
