As many of you know, Bill Gioia, K2EK, passed away recently. He was a good friend of my brother, Jeff. Knowing that Bill’s widow, Jackie, needed help disposing of Bill’s radio gear, and seeing as how I live in Florida, Jeff enlisted my aid.
Two trips down to Grant later, a couple of my friends and I had loaded just about anything of Bill’s that smacked of ham radio into our vehicles and taken it to my remote shack in Wildwood, FL. I have done my best to sort through it, test some of it, and come up with asking prices that I believe are both attractive to a buyer and fair to Jackie. For those items that do not have prices, please make an offer. Reasonable offers will be gladly accepted.
Attached is the inventory that I have created. If you are interested in any items, please contact me at my email above or at (908) 892-9912. I will be happy to answer questions and to provide photos if asked. I will ship the lighter items at your expense, but the FTDX5000, the Kenwood TS-940 and the amplifiers need to be picked up. I can barely lift the AL-1500. Notice that Bill, like many of us, had a lot of treasures.
Also note that there are a number (10?) of Rohn tower sections, 45G or 55G, that are still on premises. Let me know if you are interested, and we can talk.
Feel free to pass this along to other people and clubs.
73,
George Briggs, K2DM
