I should have mentioned, the automatic tuner is not actually required for the 6BTV assuming you configure it for the center of your normal frequency range on each band. I had the tuner so I could hook up a wire antenna that I extended above the flagpole at night using a bamboo fishing pole. I worked 20 states on 160 cw using a 38 ft wire while in TV.
