What a surprise when I was informed that we were going out last night, and that I had to shut down after just under 3 hours of contesting. But, no worries, we should be back home by 10 the latest (she said), and I can have a couple of hours to finish up the contest. Well, we never got home until well past midnight. So much for more operating time.

Conditions were pretty good, and when I got into a run mode, there were some crazies that felt that all they had to do was drop there exchange on me without letting me first give them their report. I had about 4 stations like that who may have me in their log, but NIL for me. I never got a R or TU from them, so I moved on. I frown on operators like that. The end result was QRM on my freq, which effectively slowed me down because I was repeating their report a couple of times, and then moving on to the next Q.
