Wow, there were some great scores from this lil’ ol’ HOA antenna-restricted community. I just finished erecting a temporary 10 meter dipole on a pushup mast @ 24 ft and wanted to compare its performance with my flagpole antenna throughout the contest. It was marginally better than the flagpole especially for long haul paths (and the noise level was about an S unit better than the flagpole). But, I listened to Pete, K2PS, peeling off the Qs and I couldn’t even detect a whisper of the stations he was working…that brought me back to reality. Nothing like a 4 element yagi steered by a masterful op.
Here's my modest 10 meter single band effort: 350 Qs / 73 mults for a whopping score of 78,088 pts.
Congratulations to everyone from TVARC who contributed some amazing scores. It was one the most enjoyable contesting experiences I’ve had in a long time stateside. At one time, the bottom 150 kHz of 10 was pulsating with stations with barely room to find a slot to run stations. What a joy to savor.
