This is one of many estate items that I will be selling.  It is a VHF/UHF SWR/Wattmeter from MFJ, model MFJ-817.

It is a bit vintage -  there is now an MFJ-817C version.  However, this unit works, and it is in decent physical condition, with a few small scratches on the front panel.

The 817 has a cross-needle meter, with one needle indicating forward power, and the other needle indicating reflected power.  SWR is indicated by where the two needles intersect.

To be honest, this is not a precision instrument.  But with careful alignment, it can give you a pretty good indication of your power output and your SWR on 2M and on 440MHz.

I am offering it here before I put it up on eBay.  Selling it for $30.
