Wow. This was a fun contest. The point scoring was outrageous. The exchange was the 4 character Grid square. 
There were no multipliers, BUT the QSO points were based on 1 point per kilometer distance between Grid zones exchanged.

Makrothen is an ancient Greek word meaning “great distance” or “some distance away”.

I did a mix of S&P, and Run. I certainly saw the value in Running.
I had some Runs where my rate was 60+, but these only lasted for 20-30 minutes before losing the frequency. Some shorter Runs with rates down in the 20-30 per hour. [For Pete/K2PS: I used the "F4 NOW" macro about 5 times, working perfectly each time].

Conditions were pretty good with the Solar Flux Index (SFI) up at 160, and the Sunspot Number (SN) almost as high in the 130-140 range.
