Good job, Rusty. Haven’t played in that one for quite awhile, but did enjoy it back then. And congrats on getting credit for all those QTCs. Not sure I’d want to be on the EU end.

The annual Worked All Europe CW contest. Either you love it, or you hate it. This is the only contest that I am aware where contestants exchange blocks of QSO information, called QTCs. On the plus side, QTCs enable stations to effectively double their score. Non-Europeans send time/call/serial of stations worked (up to ten) while Europeans log the exchange. Clearly, Europe does the heavy lifting. Scores over 1M are not uncommon. Band conditions were pretty decent, better on Sunday than Saturday. We even got to run a bit. I am really happy for WAE this weekend, as the MDC QSO Party was a bust with only six stations worked. For those wishing to try their luck, WAE SSB is in September and WAE RTTY in November. Contest on!
