Thanks for sharing this. The first few years of my work career were spent at Bell Labs in Holmdel, NJ. The facility had a water tower that was intentionally shaped like a transistor.

I am reading “The Innovators” by Walter Isaacson which talks about the development of the computer starting in the 1600’s. Here is a picture of the first transistor developed by Bell Labs.
