During the TVARC Ragchew Net tonight, I mentioned that I had installed new side panels on my Electraft K3 today.  

Every year for my birthday, I buy something for myself that I ordinarily wouldn't spend money on.  This year being no exception, I made the purchase from AK6Q, Scott Bastian, owner of GEMSPRODUCTS.COM.  Scott makes goodies for the KX2 and I believe this is his first product for the K3.

The tab was around $60.00 including shipping and installation time was about an hour.  The product is very well made and should supply some needed additional protection for my K3 for its trip to PJ2T for CQ-WW-SSB this fall.

There are a couple of "gotchas" you need to be aware of and the only complaint I had was that Scott didn't include instructions with the package or on his web site.
