I have been a member of the TVARC since about last October and attended my first meeting this month (June). I was surprised to not see an introduction of new members attending a first meeting. I would suggest making an effort to do this at each meeting, because otherwise you/we don’t get a chance to place names and call signs with faces. Just my observation as a new member. So check out my QRZ page and you will see a photo. Nice to meet you all!

Thanks,

Hi Members of TVARC’s MailList (especially those interested in contesting),

You may be curious how you rank as a contester on the international stage.  Well, now you can look-up your ranking as the World Amateur Radio Contesting Association (WARCA) just published this year’s rankings.

For the second year, the WARCA publishes its annual ranking of all active international contesters. The full ranking table for 2022 is available at this link (URL):

Those WARCA rankings are based on your results in accredited contests over the last 36 months (all details of rank calculations are available on the WARCA website).

Using the WARCA’s webpage and searching on my callsign (K4QR), my rank (aka “place”) is #30726 (out of 58,522 entries.  Their website shows these additional details regarding my ranking:
