Field Day setup volunteers,

A hearty thank you for being flexible and showing up at noon instead of 3PM.  Thanks even to those who missed my email and showed up at 3PM.  All of you were able to help in one way or another.

The ‘noon’ crew assembled and installed both 6-BTV vertical antennas, installed the 6M hamstick dipole, and assembled most of the TA-33 yagi.  The sky began to darken, the trailer was not due to arrive for about 2 more hours, so I invited everyone to go home.  I promised an email after the trailer was delivered.  Here is that email with the latest setup schedule.

As long as there is no lightning, I plan to begin at 8:00 AM tomorrow.  We will get the yagi and 80M/40M dipole up on the tower.  We will install the end fed wire.  We may even raise the VHF/UHF yagi higher on a pushup mast as a couple of you suggested.  I still want Ken and Ed to work on mapping out the coax panel, but Jim Pollock of the SCSO assures me that all of the cable runs were working as of Sunday, when the trailer was used for Father’s Day.  Given the loss of time today, we will begin to install radios while Ken and Ed and doing their thing, but we will have to do it without getting in their way.

Again, thank you to all of you who came today!
