I have a TS590sg and have called Kenwood several different times; they have been very good in calling back when I left a message.  In two different instances, they recommended a Total Reset(not just a memory reset) which solved my problem.

My Kenwood TS-940 has developed some problems, the memory will not reset nor can I load anything into it, I have good memory batteries, plus a few other items.   It still works just hard to change bands
