As a new ham one of the areas I am delving into in Packet Radio.  I have successfully configured WinLink using a SignaLink and an IC-208H radio.

To date the only RF connection I am able to complete is with Packet Winlink connecting to W3HII-10.

Are there any digipeaters in our area that one can use to route to other nodes if W3HII-10 is offline?

I have added VARA FM Winlink capability but have no way of testing properly since the closest node is 40 miles away.  So the same question applies  to this mode. Are there any digipeaters in our area that one can use to route through for VARA?

I realize that my most limiting factor is my attic antenna that's what leads me to look elsewhere for RF routing.

My final question has to do with BBS.  Are there any RF BBS systems in our area and how do you access them?
