Arriving back home antenna-less, I could stand it no more and put a 20m HamStick up (stealthily) on 15 feet a push-up mast behind the house and worked Puerto Rico, Ireland and Turkey on CW with the IC-705.

Thanks much to Greg, Art, Ken and others who emailed me with flagpole antenna info. Now to get started on my own...
