Hi Rich

Well I offered the radio since I thought it might be helpful. You’re right, there is always a learning curve with a new radio.  Of course the power is continuously variable from 1 watt to 100. For satellite operation, FM, SSB, or CW the way it works is that you set up a memory for each bird, tell it if it is right side up or inverted and your good to go. When a pass comes over, you just call up the memory for that satellite, tune it in, and go. As you change the receive freq, the transmit moves the proper amount in the right direction automatically. Actually, it’s pretty easy, but you’re right there would be a bit of learning the system. It also has an HT with it (full duplex as well) that allows full remote base operation. It’s here if you want to try it.  I have the TS-B2000 remote head version. Anyway, it’s here on the shelf if you should need it. I mostly used it on SSB sats, but it works for fm as well. Here is a YouTube of a guy using one. The non-b version. You just tune yourself in, and it’s good to go.
