Nice Job Dennis.

I too, had tons of fun this weekend between the Hamcation and the WPX RTTY contest.

I had George/K2DM, and Ken/WB2ART both giving me advice on Friday to NOT use the new Flex 6600M (that I picked up this weekend) in the contest. Well, I split the difference with their sound advice. I started the contest on Friday evening logging 79 Qs (all S&P) on the old Kenwood TS590S. But, I couldn’t help it; the new radio was screaming at me to set it up.

So, I took the day off on Saturday and played with the new Flex 6600M and was making RTTY sounds at or around midnight. That was about 8-10 hours of concentration out of the 12 hours spent. I then logged 10 Qs on the Flex after midnight (Saturday), and then called it a day.

The remainder was done on Sunday with a couple of nice runs on 20, and 40 meters.

Op time: 11.4 hours

Next week is the ARRL DX CW contest. My XYL does not know that yet. ;)
