Thanks, guys. A new important detail: seems that those bars don’t move when the frequency changes, so that would seem to rule out external causes. Listening (with real ears!) on SSB, I don’t detect anything unusual. I could live with the visual distortion I see for signals within the offending “bars,” but I see NO signals between about 1450 and 1650 FT8 offsets – on any band, as you can see below on a packed 15M band. The bars themselves run from about 900-1300, and 1800-2200. All WSJT modes show the same thing. I’ve rebooted everything, BTW, and no change.

Pete, I don’t see any of the QRN that you have there.
I recall having a similar problem (but not exactly). Traced it to a faulty street light near my house.
Good luck getting to the issue.

Just this morning for the first time, I noticed some strange QRN on the WSJT waterfall. The same thing is seen on all bands, both antennas. I show the 10M waterfall here, with little activity on the band:

Here’s 20M and a bunch of signals:

Note also, the nearly total lack of signals in between the noise bands.
Could this be an artifact of the reported solar flare? Or am I seeing some new RFI issue?
