Subject: Catch a Message from Space — Invitation for Amateur Radio Clubs
Dear THE VILLAGES AMATEUR RADIO CLUB,
HADES-ICM is in orbit and transmitting.
We’d like to invite your club to take part in the “Catch a Message from Space” challenge — an opportunity to receive, decode, and explore real signals transmitted from a live PocketQube satellite.
The satellite operates with an SDR-based FM/FSK repeater supporting AX.25/APRS communication (UHF downlink, VHF uplink), designed to be directly accessible to the amateur radio community.
This is a hands-on activity your members can explore using existing amateur radio and SDR setups:
• Receive signals transmitted from orbit
• Decode and identify rotating message transmissions
• Compare reception results and observations as a club
• Experiment with tracking, logging, and satellite communication workflows
We’ve prepared a dedicated page with challenge details, operating information, and participation guidance:

About icMercury
icMercury is a space-focused platform exploring ways to connect satellite missions, experimental payloads, and community participation into a more accessible experience. Through small satellites and open signals, we hope to encourage more people to listen to, interact with, and explore space together.
We are also currently opening early access to the icMercury app platform ahead of its public launch. Clubs and individual operators interested in testing the platform, following satellite activities, or creating community channels are welcome to explore:

Whether as a live demo, a themed club session, or an ongoing technical challenge, we’d love to see your members catch the signal and make it their own.
See you on the air.
