WRTC is the ham radio equivalent of the Olympics. It's an invitational
tournament featuring the best contesters in the world. 50 teams of 2,
all located in England running 100 watts to antennas provided by the
hosts. The playing field is as equal for all as possible.

The event starts Saturday at 1200 UTC (8:00AM local) and runs 24 hours.

For the competitors, making QSOs is the object. So, they need hams to
play along--after all you need someone to be on the other end of the
QSO! If you're on the air and hear one of the stations, they'd love for
you to answer their CQ! (I have a devil of a time contacting English
hams, but I'll try.)

Go to wrtc2026.org to learn more. The list of callsigns is there.

Interestingly, to make responding to CQs fair, the competitors aren't
identified by the WRTC callsigns. We'll find out who's who after the
contest is completed.

If you make contacts, they request you submit your log ASAP, so they can
determine the winners, etc.

Paul, KM4PIH
