Most of you probably don't need a reminder, but the CQWW DX CW Contest is
this weekend, starting 7p our time. This one is the biggest contest of the
year, in terms of particpants, and if you're interested in working some good
DX, this is where you'll want to be.

The exchange for us is 59905, with the 05 being our CQ Zone (out of 40).
Multipliers are DX countries AND Zones, per band. While QSOs with US
stations are worth zero points (other North America Qs are 2 points,
anywhere else is worth 3 points), the US is a multiplier, and has three
zones. So, unless you pick up those zones (03, 04, 05) by working Canada,
you'll need to grab some US stations too (but just once per zone). And
again, all of this is per band, 10-160, non-WARC).

Also, don't forget to set your contest program to connect to
https://contestonlinescore.com/. This will communicate with your program,
and report your real-time scores. It's always fun to watch our club members
pile up their numbers. Go to that site and register, if you have not
already done so, and enter your club as The Villages Amateur Radio Club. To
set it up in N1MM+, go to Config>Configure Ports,.>Score Reporting. Check
the boxes on the left, and enter server name of
https://contestonlinescore.com/post/. During the contest you'll be able to
see everyone's scores, either by class (LP/HP, etc), or by club, and watch
them change every few minutes.

After the contest, be sure to mark your club as The Villages Amateur Radio
Club, and report your estimated scores to 3830scores.com. I'll use that to
compile them for the club and report during our next meeting.

73, GL, and fingers crossed for good conditions!

Pete, K2PS
