Hi Stan,

We have a pretty good sized Meshtastic network here in TV.  There are at
least 50 nodes.  Meshtastic is kind of a strange beast.  It is low data
rate, low power, and long range.

I facilitate a club called Hands-On Tech (HoT) that most of the other
Meshtastic users attend.  You can find a Meshtastic link at our club
page: www.handsontech.org.  If you browse the past presentations under
the Small Computer part of our club, you'll find a couple of club
presentations on Meshtastic that will help you get oriented

Regarding equipment, most of our HoT members start with the Heltec
LoRa32: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LV653X83  (There are many vendors
of this on Amazon.  This is just one example).  The Heltec V3 is a good
device to start with.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
