ARRL just advertised Salty Walts book in their store!

Yes, I ordered it and it came in today!

Below is solely my opinion

His book didn't disappoint!

If you looking for a real down and dirty book on the nitty gritty, don't pick this up.  Get the Physics of Antennas book to geek out too. 

But if you're into a guy who gets into getting it done in simple terms.  This is your book.   Yes, he does do the salt water antenna thing.  But also explains difference for everyone else in the world not on the beach.
