George,

I have always believed my machine are fully capable of throwing a fit!

Maybe it's more mad that it wants to do more POTA and not stay at home?

Congratulations on a fine effort, Pete! Here’s an indication of just how good an operator Pete is: for reasons I will document later, I only made 3 contacts in the contest. One of them was with Pete, who answered one of CQs. Go figure!

And congratulations to everyone who jumped into the contest and made contacts. I trust you all had fun. I, on the other hand, did not. I spent over an hour reassembling my station since I had been using my desk to repair various radios for months. When I finally got N1MM talking to my radio, I found a clear CW frequency and called CQ. Hooray, I got an answer, and my first contact was in the log. Then Pete answered my CQ. Yippee, I was off and running. I had beaten the odds by throwing my station together at the last minute and having it work. Just as I began to pat myself on the back, my transmitter locked up. Taking this as a sign, I went back to the living room to watch TV. Hey, maybe my rig is pissed at me for doing so much POTA.🤪
73,
George K2DM
