[TVARC] TVARC POTA Activations

Good Morning TVARCers:

There’s another club member besides George roaming the Midwest activating POTA sites.  I’m that member complementing George.  

I’m on a trip from Minneapolis to the southwest corner of Michigan near the border with Indiana for my grandson’s 5th birthday.

Early yesterday evening I activated Rock Cut State Park (US-1019) near Rockford, IL and managed to pry Pete, K2PS from viewing his beloved Eagles football game (thanks for the Q, Pete).

Condx were great! Worked 15 stations in a little more than half an hour with Western European pounding in on 20 CW (the original digital mode).

In about 3-4 hours I’ll be at Indiana Dunes State Park around 14.050 MHz CW.  In the next few days, I’ll be activating from MI, WI & MN.  if you get a chance, look for me.  I’ll post each activity as I’m starting to activate.  

I’m running 100W (Icom 7300) into a EFHW @ 31 ft.
