[TVARC] Storm Frequencies

I’m relatively new to the Villages and maybe this week will be the most significant storm in a while, so I have a question….

I’ve always been able to monitor public service frequencies to listen to ongoing events.  Since that’s not the case in this part (or most of) Florida, I'm wondering what you all listen to.  I’m aware of the local amateur repeaters and have that information already programmed (or will yet today), but are there other things that any of you might recommend?  I hate being at the mercy of the media to get both filtered and less-than-timely information, but that’s the cards we’re dealt.

Since I don’t monitor HF, I’m looking for VHF and UHF.
