Devastated to learn of John's passing early this morning. He was both a good personal friend and an Elmer to me. He helped me with the installation of my flagpole antenna, he guided me through the ordeal of overcoming a seemingly impossible situation wherein I was blowing out the AFCI breakers of up to 40 neighbors, he helped me troubleshoot a couple of broken amps, he was always there to help whenever I needed an odd cable or part and on and on I could go. What a friend. He even got me involved in FT8!! I had always been an anti FT8 guy, but slowly he coaxed me to try it and now it probably makes for 60% of my "contacts". Oh, and he even converted me from being a Kenwood/ Icom guy to an Elecraft guy.

John and Jeanette were great social friends for my wife Kay and me. We look forward to still being able to see you on occasion, Jeanette. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rest in Peace, John.

73,
John

Fellow members of TVARC,

I am deeply saddened to let you all know that a dear friend of TVARC became a Silent Key this morning.
Many of you know that John's health had been failing since he suffered a fall about two months ago.
I know that we all will keep our thoughts and prayers with Jeanette.
RIP John!
