What a fun weekend! 1583 QSOs and 19 1/2 hours BIC.

Many thanks to Ray, ND8L for help setting up voice macros. I would not have survived many hours of CQing without them.

TVARC members contacted: Ray, ND8L (x3), Ken, WB2ART (in RI no less), Larry, K8XR using his new flagpole antenna, and Jim W3GYM.

20 meters was by far the most productive band. SSB produced an endless stream of callers. Best burst rate was 300/hr. Best hour = 149/hr.

15 and 10 were essentially closed Saturday, but 15 meters offered a nice opening Sunday, which accounted for KL7 and ND multipliers.

Where was Hawaii? Normally KH6 is an easy catch so I hung around 15 meters until it dried up, but no KH6. Got the other 49 + DC though.

Sorry to learn of Wayne & Pete’s problems. That darn Murphy! Still, they showed what great competitors they are with on-the-spot field repairs and creative solutions.

Now that FQP is behind us, let’s all look forward to 6 meters in June.

73,
Rusty - W3US
