Conditions look to be excellent for this weekend’s CQWW CW contest.

I’ve got my 4-element 10-meter yagi erected, and up about 30 feet, and it’s been performing wonderfully. If you haven’t bothered much with 10, this promises to be a great year for that band, with big EU openings starting at sunrise, and nice JA propagation in the late afternoon. I plan to be a single-band, HP station, and I’ll be looking at contestonlinescore.com for other TVARCers as they build their scores. If you’re not already signed up on that website, go ahead and do so. It’s fun watching our buddies working hard and making Qs.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to work one another for QSO points, but we do need to work zones 03, 04, and 05, so unless we can work the VEs in those zones, we’ll have to work US stations to fill in those gaps. Don’t wait until the last minute to gran those mults.

A lot of nice DXpeditions are planning to be active this weekend, so this should be a good time to build those TVARC DX Standing counts.

Good luck!

73, Pete, K2PS
