I was really looking forward to this contest since my K3 came back from
Elecraft repaired and ready to roll. I see many TVARC scores reflect the
great conditions over the weekend, certainly helped with the burst of SFI
to 348 for several hours. I have been doing S&P for some time since I
could get a better rate than slogging along with running, often getting
chased off by stronger stations. This time, however, the big opening on
10 allowed me to park well up in the CW band and have a nice run of
98/hour. Same goes for 15 but not quite as long. The activity on 10 was
quite evident when viewing the multiplier and available QSOs table and
seeing over 200 unworked stations in my listing. I have to wonder if I
had stayed in S&P mode and picked off the list if I would have had the
same rate, hi.
Missed a good chunk of Saturday night for my belated birthday dinner with
family. XYL did not react kindly when I said it would be better to let
me celebrate on the air
Here is my effort for 16.2 hours.: The 730 Qs are a new PR from 4-land.
