Good going, Rich. I didn't have the time to get into it, but I do have a
question for you - I know the exchange called for grid squares, but how did
u handle the frequent case where callers don't give it?

Well, that was a fun contest.
I had at one point a nice rate going for a 60 minute period logging 35 Qs.
Not too shabby for combination of FT4, and FT8 (on a single stream for you
new F/H advocates). The first 9 Qs were FT8 on 40 meters, and then I
switched modes to FT4 and was pleasantly surprised with all the activity.
The kicker was having the other receiver (SO2R) watching 20 meters for
anything rare and new multiplier). I picked up a VA7 (only a
2 pointer but a new multiplier), and 3 minutes later a ZL3 (5 points plus a
multiplier) on 20 meters, with 3 FT4 Qs on 40 meters in between.
Some other highlights were working our friend from Illinois, Val/NV9L on
3 bands, and Cyprus 5B4AMM also on 3 bands.

73,
Rich, ND4G
