[TVARC] Flagpole antenna choices for HF

RIck,

I guess I would come under #3. I have a 6BTV vertical inside a PVC
flagpole. It covers 80, 40, 30, 20, 15 and 10 just fine with my KAT500
tuner. I cannot work 80 SSB because the 80 meter "stinger" and coil just
don't have enough head room.

I bought the tilt base and radial grid plate from DX Engineering. I have
about 66 radials ranging from 55 to 10 feet in length spread in a 3/4 pie
pattern. It performs as well as could be expected for a vertical, meaning
beams will usually hear stuff I don't, but WSJT-X has helped greatly to
mitigate the problem.

Hope this helps.
