I often park myself on a spot I hope to be clear and lock it.  I'll call
a station when he sends "RR73" or "RRR".  That way my call shows while he
copies the station he is signing with.  I don't step on the other guy; he
gets to see my call and strength and others calling him.  If the station
is rare, it would be best if he/she uses F/H to juggle calls faster.  F/H
does take some practice and power to run 2 or more channels at a time.
