[TVARC] Off the Air for Awhile

The storm back on Saturday night fried my cable modem.  Far worse than
that, it appears the I/O board in my K3 got bit as well.  All my antennas
were disconnected as usual but the surge apparently came in on the modem
cable feed.  The Internet connection to the computer from the modem
propagated the surge and scrambled adjacent peripherals that go to the
K3.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  (Oh yeah, the computer is
probably messed up too.)

Elecraft says I will have to get a new board which is an upgrade from the
original that I have.  I hope to hear back to how long is the wait for a
new board (Elecraft says they have a production run to make) and how
much.

Hope the VK0MQ will be there awhile...
