Hi,
If any of you know the answer, or have an opinion and can reply, please do. Thank you!
I am licensed but still new to the practical side of things.
I have a portable SuperAntenna. I plan to use my 50’ exteriorly insulated coax to connect from my transceiver to the antenna. I plan to set up the antenna in my back yard when transmitting. (It only takes about 7 minutes to set up - soup to nuts.)
My lanai is screened (see picture below). I plan to drill a hole in one of the aluminum bars (see photo) and pass the coax through it, from the transceiver to the antenna. Will the aluminum interfere? (The yellow dot is the planned drilling spot and the top of the top red arrow is where I plan to temporarily place the antenna at the times that I am transmitting.
Thank you in advance.
