ND4G made 188 QSOs on CW! I'm impressed.

You didn't miss anything after 6P Saturday night. I find that most of the
nighttime activity in this contest comes on Friday. That's when you get to
work all the FL stations, since signals elsewhere are in and out, and it
seems everyone else decides to take the time off on Saturday. Remember
also, that we're limited to 36 of the 48 hours in this one.

I also took time off to watch the Eagles starting at about 130P Sunday (on
TiVo), but went back to the radio at halftime. Watched the rest after the
contest was over without concern, since we were leading 24-7, and it should
have been worse against the Giants!

Here is my offerings to the club effort for the 10m contest.
I got a chuckle out of George's comment about tracking Pete and I. I am
humbled that George put me into the same category of Pete.
I started late at 7:30 Friday, and shut down after about 2 hours thinking
the band was dead for the nite. Got some sleep, and woke up at 7:30AM and
was told by the XYL that I was NOT going to have the full day. Being on
standby and operating as much as I could, I put in several hours but had to
shut down at about 6PM Saturday evening. Got another good nite's sleep, and
again woke at 7:30AM Sunday, and except for a 3 hour break to watch a
football game at 1PM, I was going for broke. It sounded like the band was
done a half hour before 7PM.

Looking at (and also tracking) the scores during the weekend on
Contestonline was interesting. Kudos to Rusty, Pete, and Ray (late
starter) as their scores were astronomical. Yeah, George did pretty good,
too, for a less than a weekend's effort. Hey, I got more than half of the
QSO's that George got, so I feel pretty good about that.

As for conditions; they couldn't have been better. I saw virtual pipelines
from here to Cali, and Colorado at times. I made the mistake that I was
watching for multipliers, and passed on what seems to be a gazillion more
Qs, thinking "uggh, another CA", or "uggh, another CO".

Rich, ND4G
