Nice going, Tom. Was fun tracking you on Contest Online Score, even though that had a few glitches this time.

Part of the reason your flagpole does well is location, location. Florida just has better propagation characteristics than the Midwest Black Hole.

So good luck in a week and a half in the 10 Meter Contest!

73, Pete, K2PS

Very enjoyable contest. I continue to be amazed at what’s possible to work from here in The Villages on postage-sized piece of property with a flagpole antenna. Prior to moving here, I thought I’d have to give up HF ham radio or just use something like Remote Ham Radio. As I’ve said previously, I can not thank John Ellis, NP2M enough for his article on building the flagpole antenna. My buddies in MN are surprised at my signal strength as they listen in to me running DX stations while they’re using their beam antennas atop fairly tall towers.

Didn’t run into many TVARCers in this contest except for Pete, K2PS, Rusty, W3US and Bob, K3ZGA. I’m sure that others participated, too.
