Thanks to K2DM for allowing me to use the second station at The Land last weekend.
The station worked flawlessly and we had very, very few interference issues...except one time when we wound up on the same band...and even then, not all that bad.
Did a lot of search and lurch...couldn't seem to get a run going anywhere.
George turned me onto OnLine Reporting via N1MM, which was both a blessing and a curse. I got off to a slow start, although my first contact was on 10 meters with KH6LC. By the time I looked at the On-Line results, K2DM and N4FP were putting on a CW clinic and YIKES! ... the FNG from Ohio was getting his butt kicked good and proper.
Later in the afternoon, I started gaining ground on N4FP and started feeling quite good about myself ... until I realized he must have taken a break. Then he QRV'd and the asswhoopin' continued.
This is why one should play golf with people who play better than you do..what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Great time...I would have spent more time on the air, but had an O-dark-thirty flight out of MCO back to Ohio.
Damn job!
Hope to see y'all next weekend for NAQP-SSB.
73, Ray - ND8L
