I remember Owen. He was a good friend of Pat Davis who was my friend. I usually sat with the two of them. Owen changed his call to N1KAM prdddddobably when he moved back to New Hampshire. I don’t remember pat’s call, but he moved back to Minnesota the last contact I had with him.

I have not been active since we moved to Ohio in May 2020. The apartment we are in discourages antennas and I have not attempted to install my tripod which must be mounted on the concrete patio. I tried to get into the club’s net on 2 meters, but they did not receive me due to hill directly behind our apartment that blocks line of sight to the repeater. I found the local club to not be interested in new members.

Subject: [TVARC] Old member - SK?

Hey all,

Does anyone remember a club member from 2014; Owen O’Neil/KJ4YAC? According to what I find, he shows that he last paid club membership on 10/31/2013 for the 2014 calendar year.

I cannot find him via a callsign, or name search on QRZ.COM.

Did he let his callsign expire? Is he SK?

I found in my archives a terrific write-up of End Fed wire antennas in The Villages that he wrote some years ago, and I would like to publish it on the web site. He has his name all over it, so if still around but no longer a ham, I can leave his name in there with credit accordingly.

On the other hand, if he is SK, I can mark this appropriately to still give him credit.
