[TVARC] Request for Headset recommendation

Joe,

I've had the Heil Pro headset for over 25 years.  I assume you are
looking for the one with a single earpiece plus the boom mic.  Mine has
two earpieces which is much better for keeping out noises or nearby
conversations when operating.  I find them pretty comfortable, although
when operating for hours at a time during a contest, I experience some
discomfort where the bows on my glasses are pinned by the earpieces.

The only issue I had was deteriation of the pads on the earpieces over
time.  Heil repaired them promptly and included cloth covers over the
foam pads.  Makes it easy to keep them clean and prevents body sweat and
oils from messing up the pads.
