[TVARC] ND4G SOAB HP Russian RTTY WW Contest - 2021

We spent the day (Sunday) doing a Costco run, including stops at Homegoods,
and @Home, and of course we couldn't leave out a stop at Walmart; all down
near Tampa (Wesley Chapel).

Fortunately (?) the contest only ran from Friday night to Saturday night, so
I was available to drive Sunday. LOL

 

Umm, sorry for the digression, back to the contest report; conditions were
kinda weird. Sunspot Numbers appeared to have taken a nose dive during the
prior week, so things were a bit quieter as compared to the week before, and
I noticed this morning the SN picked back up again. Does the Sunspot God
have something against ham radio? I wonder sometimes.

 

10m was still dead. I only made 2 contacts on 15 meters; and one of those
was N6AR out of Winter Garden (near Orlando), making him more than probably
a ground wave contact. Only contacted 5 Russians (3 on 40m, and 2 on 20m).
they sounded like they were busy working mostly Europeans.

 

Next one up (for me): CQ WW DX RTTY 9/25-9/26.
