Step 2 described below is in progress, and the IC-7000 station has been
sold. The Kenwood TS-440SAT station is still available.
Step 3 is also in progress. I dumped about 25 for sale listings into the
TVARC website, and Rich is busily approving them. Keep checking the website
for new listings.

Subject: [TVARC] Sale of donated equipment
Clubmates,
TVARC recently received requests to take two complete stations off the hands
of their owners. No compensation was requested - just take the equipment.
The TVARC Board decided to offer the equipment to the membership before
disposing of it in some other fashion.
Step One of disposing of the equipment was to offer all of the books that
were obtained for sale in the back of the room at the last TVARC meeting.
$41 was generated for the club treasury.
Step Two is to offer the HF radios for sale to the membership.
Radio #1 is a vintage Kenwood TS-440SAT transceiver with a matching PS-50
power supply. The TS-440SAT has a built-in antenna tuner. It powers up and
appears to work OK. It does have significant keypad bounce.
Radio #2 is an Icom IC-7000 transceiver with a Jetstream power supply. The
IC-7000 did not have a built-in antenna tuner option, so many IC-7000 owners
used external antenna tuners. This IC-7000 comes with an LDG AT-7000
automatic antenna tuner (and the proper cable to connect it to the IC-7000).
The package also includes a mobile mount and a regular mount for the
IC-7000. All of these items except the Jetstream power supply are in their
original boxes.
If you have any questions about either of these radios, email them to:
thevillagesarc at gmail.com <mailto:thevillagesarc at gmail.com>
Step Three is to offer the smaller items for sale on the TVARC website in
the Items for Sale section. Notices will be sent out on the TVARC reflector
and on the www.k4vrc.com <http://www.k4vrc.com> website when Steps Two and
Three go into effect.
