Congrats to Bob, K3ZGA for another really nice effort. I heard your crisp and clear CW Sunday morning as you chased the masses. Well done!

Sorry to hear of George’s power and A/C issues at The Land. Otherwise, I know George would have crushed it.

This is a good contest where everyone works everyone, which helps fill the void between EU and AS openings and accounts for a high QSO total. Like Bob, my efforts were entirely Search & Pounce. Both 10M and 15M were open, producing 100+ contacts, but 20M, which remained open until the wee hours was the most productive. All in all this was another fun contest, but ended on an exasperating note. While VK/ZL on 40/20 were easy targets, JAs were somewhat difficult, and DU/BY impossible. I spent 30-40 minutes intently pursuing DX0HQ, B4HQ, and B5HQ on 40 and 20. Most times there was NO ONE ELSE calling. I was frustrated as this little pistol just couldn't get through. My Kingdom for a yagi. :-)

I’ve had some problems with run-away RF in the shack causing unpredictable computer behavior. After wrapping torroids around “everything”, this issue is now at a manageable level.

Happy contesting everyone - and CW forever!

73,
Rusty - W3US
