Subject: [TVARC] Villages On the Air VOTA First Draft
I have taken a first pass at creating a list of Villages for VOTA.
I started with the Villages list at: https://www.districtgov.org/images/villages_neighborhoods.pdf
I added The Lofts at Brownwood, which if I understand correctly are part of District 9. I gave the historical Villages a district number of zero. I gave each Village a code designation for use in an exchange which has two alphabetic characters followed by the district number, e.g. Liberty Park is Lima Papa Five. The list as it stands has 99 "entities" or Villages.
Please have a look at the list and let me know if there are any flaws or omissions that you're aware of, even if all you do is check your own Village. It can be seen at:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1f-Y5-FyfMAgyYZw0dUyaFEGypfXXGTrxUh-TZggaU54/edit?usp=sharing
Also, are there other areas that we should add as unique "entities"? For example, Town Squares, Regional Rec Centers, Preserve areas or other special areas (e.g. Sharon Rose Weichens Preserve, Fenney Nature Trail, Polo Field, Country Clubs?)
Looking forward to everyone's input.
Thanks,
Mark, W8BIT
