Hi Members of TVARC”s MailList (especially those interested in emergency communications, nets, or weather),
You can view an interesting, annotated map showing the track of the recent storm that spawned the deadly tornadoes across four (4) states. The map is available on the website of the “ARMSG NET” (a ham radio net) at this link/URL:
https://armsg20.wordpress.com <https://armsg20.wordpress.com/>
After surfing over to that webpage, then simply scroll down for awhile and you’ll find the map entitled “Evolution of the December 10th, 2021, Quad-State Tornadic Supercell."
The ARMSG Net meets daily at 11:00 ET on 14.277 MHz. This net got spun-off when the original Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN) dissolved awhile ago; and, then later, re-surfaced as a separate net (the "SATERN 20 Meter Net"). The ARMSG spin-off is NOT officially sanctioned, or supported, by the Salvation Army. ARMSG is loosely tied to the “Hurricane Watch Net” and some other nets. For more information, consult the ARMSG Net’s website (see link/URL above).
The SATERN 20 Meter Net is a separate net. It is officially, or quasi-officially, sanctioned by the Salvation Army. It meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at 12:00 (Noon) ET, on 14.325 MHz.
Stay safe from COVID-19 😷 💉💉
