[TVARC] ND4G SOAB LP FLQP CW + SOAB HP SPDX RTTY contests

Did anybody else feel as if the bands were more quiet than usual this
weekend? I heard we had a CME, and a solar flare that was directed at the
Earth this weekend, causing a geomagnetic storm. At times, it seemed like my
squelch was turned all the way up.

 

Not much time spent on the QSO Party.

I started by working George/K2DM, Ralph/N8RW, and Rusty/W3US as 3 out of my
first 4 contacts.

I ended the contest by doing something very uncharacteristic of me, and that
was to "RUN" on CW. The excitement got the best of me, and I only lasted for
10 minutes logging 12 Qs. One of the Qs during the Run was of all people,
Val/NV9L.
