Steve,

Here is a link to some log converter programs.

https://www.dxzone.com/catalog/Software/Log_Converters/

Export from HRD to ADIF, and then apply that file to the converter program. If you are missing any fields after the conversion, you can always use a find/replace function in most text editors to add the field to the new file.

Get on N1MM+ as soon as you can. There is a lot of help and tutorial explanations on the N1MM+ web site. A lot of it is automatic once you get started.

FYI – I use HRD when not contesting. Trust me when I say I tried the “contest mode” in HRD. It really is cumbersome and flat out does NOT work well. As for logging, after a contest, besides the Cabrillo log I generate from N1MM+, I also export the ADIF file that I then import into HRD so my HRD log has “all” my QSOs.

Subject: [TVARC] JARTS RTTY Contest - Cabrillo Logs

Did anyone work the JARTS RTTY contest this past weekend? The bands seemed to stay solid all during the period with much DX and a lot of activity on all bands, including 10 meters. I did not spent a lot of time working it but managed to get 142 QSO's.

The Cabrillo log system is new to me, I have been out of contesting for quite some time. I managed to transfer my HRD logs for the contest to a Cabrillo format using the HRD Export facility. But, I can't figure out how to put the required exchange (your age) so it shows in the Cabrillo format. HRD logbook seems to have a place (box) for it right after the RST, but the values put in that space do not show on the Cabrillo log.

I have yet to incorporate N1MM Logger+ with MMTTY. The learning curve is steep so I will try to find personal help when I get to The Villages in the coming weeks.

I don't expect to be competitive but I am using this as a learning experience using the Cabrillo system. This far I have failed!!
