Hi Members of TVARC’s MailList (especially those interested in emergency communications),
The Salvation Army Tactical Emergency Radio Network (SATERN) will be activated to handle OUTGOING traffic, if any, from the areas that may be impacted by Hurricane Delta. Florida is NOT in any danger from this storm.
You can help by monitoring the SATERN nets’ frequencies because your “extra ears“ may help pick-up traffic that the Net Control Station (NCS aka “Necos") cannot hear (due to propagation/conditions). LISTEN to the NCS’ instructions.
SATERN will be activated for Hurricane Delta. This will include the SATERN International 20m Net on 14.265 MHz (alternate 14.312 MHz), as well as the SATERN Southern Territorial 40m Net on 7.265 MHz. SATERN will be monitoring for any outbound emergency traffic, health-&-Welfare messages, including requests for assistance from both the areas of the Yucatan Peninsula & late from the Southern Coastal areas around Texas to Mississippi, but primarily Louisiana. No Inbound traffic or messages will be accepted.
Stay safe from COVID-19.
73,
Tony/K4QR
