[TVARC] Two special activities at the Feb 20 club meeting

The February 20 club meeting is scheduled to be a full one.  In addition to voting for officers and voting on the proposed revision to the Constitution and Bylaws, we will be having a FREE raffle of one of the club’s laptop computers, AND we will be having a Silent Auction of some equipment that we were requested to dispose of by a local ham.

All of the information regarding the raffle of the laptop has been available on the club’s website for quite a while.  Check out www.k4vrc.com for details.  If you are interested, obtain ONE raffle ticket, write your name or callsign on it, and deposit it in the raffle bucket.  The drawing will be held at the end of the meeting, and you must be present to win.

The list of items for the silent auction can also be found on our website, and it is included below.  All of the items (except the Diamond F718 UHF antenna) will be available for inspection on the tables at the back of the meeting room.  Each item will have a bid sheet on which you can record your name and your bid.  If someone comes along and writes down a higher bid than yours, you can write down a new, higher bid.  When the bidding closes, the bidder having the highest bid is the winner of that item.  These items will be sold for cash or check only.  Bidding will commence at 6:00 and conclude at 6:45, just before commencement of the meeting. If you are the winner of an item, please be prepared to pay for it at that time and take your item with you.  All items are sold AS IS, and all sales are final!

Icom IC-T2H HT – has corroded AAA Battery pack. 
Probably doesn’t work. Has wall wart and rubber
duck antenna.

MFJ 1702B A/B antenna switch.

Micronta VHF/UHF SWR/POWER meter – up to 60W; untested. 

Shakespeare AS-2 Automatic Coaxial Switch – untested.

Yaesu FT-415 2M HT with speaker/mic, manual, charger, rubber duck antenna – won’t power up.

Ramsey Electronics PA-10 2M power amplifier – untested.

Special Communications Systems PCT-IIe PACTOR II Modem 
DSP Multimode PACTOR-controller – untested

MFJ-949E Deluxe Versa Tuner II.  Very nice condition, with box.

Icom V8000 2M base/mobile transceiver. Complete with power 
cable, mic, mount, manual, tested okay. 

Roll of coax – with connectors.

Diamond F718 UHF antenna. This is a 15 foot very high gain UHF 
(440 MHz) antenna. It was mounted on the tower at the annex at 
466 and Morse Blvd. It was removed when the tower was removed. 
It is presently stored close to the meeting location and arrangements 
will have to be made to pick it up within a few days after the meeting. It works fine but it is 15’ tall!
