This is great! For those who are interested I looked it up.

According to VE2AIK, CQ Serenade was composed sometime between 1965 and 1970 by Maurice Durieux, VE2QS. Durieux was orchestra conductor employed by Radio Canada who had emmigrated from France. Assisting Duriux in the creation of the song was F9KT. CQ Serenade was first recorded with French lyrics by Raymond Girerd.
